Day 1

This was the first program day at the library.  Good to see all the families and how the kids had grown since last year.  Off at 8:00, now I'm trying to unwind.  That's the hard part of working late.

Starting right

Starting the day right - walking with David, watering the plants, reading  Corinthians, making and delivering cheese nips for VBS workers.  I'm afraid I miss measured, as they are a little dry.  Talk to Cynthia for awhile, and put a roast in the crockpot for tonight.  No wonder I'm already tired this morning, maybe some fruit and nuts will perk me up.  Time to get ready for work!

reflective

Our friend, Dan, left this morning for his home in Canada. We had not seen Dan in 23 years. Wow, 23 years in review. God has blessed me beyond measure. I am thankful for where God has taken me and where I am at now. Dan and Anne always inspired me when we hung out together 23 years ago. Seeing Dan reminded me how much I missed visiting with Anne. Maybe God will bring us back together someday.

Thing 11

A few years ago, while my husband was working 6 hours from our home, we became familiar with IMing. We IM'd on and off all day. We both had yahoo accounts at the time. Now I don't use IM much. Facebook does have this capability, so sometimes I chat with friends. I see my sons IMing several friends at once, but I prefer to visit with one person at a time.

Thing 10

Although I didn't sign up for a Ning account, I found interesting information exploring Ning networks. I looked for mission organizations that had traveled to Ecuador. Of course, I checked out library networks as well.

Thing 8 & 9

Facebook has been a great way for me to find friends from the past and keep up with out-of-town family members. I was reluctant to put my info out there at first, but then started connecting with people. Facebook can be addicting. I had to decide how many applications I wanted to spend time on. I finally stopped most applications and just talk to friends and family. It's fun to post pictures. While my son has been out of the country I can see his updates and the photo's he posts. Groups I have joined? A couple of library groups, my Alma mater, and my favorite radio station
